When anyone is having a difficult time dealing with a difficult issue with anyone, I will often say – take it to the other side. Which means in essence, meet with them in meditation as many times as it takes, to work through to peace with their higher self, before you try in the physical again. I say it so often, I’m always surprised how often my friends say it back to me. Recent months some issues have come up with my Ex husband. It amazes me no matter how many years we put between our parting and today, it never seems to be completely done. As the issues boiled over many of my friends predictably suggested I take it to the other side.
I tried, and tried. To be honest I couldn’t connect with him there, in that peaceful sacred place. For some odd reason he just didn’t show up. This is a tool I’ve used for years and it frustrated me when I needed it the most, it wasn’t working. It didn’t work until one day something strange happened. I have a half hour commute to my office. As I was driving to work one Thursday morning, listening to my favorite morning show, I could smell him, in the car, seriously, right there. At first I was startled. Then I was disturbed. Then I saw a window of opportunity. So, I welcomed this idea of him to my car and used my commute to imagine a conversation with him. Imagination is a powerful thing! Over the course of several commutes I imagined him setting me straight on a couple of issues I’d misunderstood. I also imagined him really hearing me when I expressed my concerns. My fellow commuters and my dog, Mozart, who drives to work with me, probably thought I was completely crazy. You might too. However, the resolution of a ten month impasse between us is no one’s imagination. That’s a real deal physical world miracle. Since then, I’ve invited a lot of people to my commute. You’d be surprised who, (I’ve imagined) has shown up.
Crazy or not – and I can assure you it’s not really that crazy, I encourage you to try. If you are having a conflict with another, meet them on the other side for a higher self to higher self hook up. Even the most obnoxious and unreasonable co-creator has a cooperative and loving higher self. We are all connected and with a little effort and as much time as it takes, you can meet up with that essence and work things out that simply can’t be resolved face to face. It’s worth the effort, in your meditation chair, your car, or wherever you can bring them in.
